Boveda packs handle the humidity in both directions — releasing moisture when the interior dries and reabsorbing it when the level rises — so it stays flat rather than cycling. There is no water and no calibration: the packs are replaced when they stiffen, typically every two to four months. The Diamond opens from the front on a drawer cut from solid oak, running on a Blumotion soft-close mechanism rather than lifting on a hinge: a lid releases most of the conditioned air in one movement, while a drawer keeps the bulk of it inside and the humidity recovers in minutes. Solid timber rather than veneered panel means the front will not lift or bubble over years of humid air on one face and dry room air on the other.
