Johnstons of Elgin has made cloth beside the River Lossie in Elgin since 1797, and is one of the few houses that still takes fibre from raw material to finished piece in its own Scottish mills. It holds Royal Warrants to His Majesty The King and to Her Majesty The Queen.

THE DESIGN
A voluminous yet lightweight blanket in a honeycomb weave that keeps the hand airy. Several shades of yarn are combined to create exclusive Donegal colours, flecked with tiny “naps” of contrast.

THE CRAFT
Woven in the Johnstons of Elgin mill, with the contrasting Donegal naps added by hand. It coordinates with the house’s hand-knit baby booties, mittens and hats.
