HANDCRAFTED IN GREECE
Manopoulos has made games in Greece since 1970 — from Costas Manopoulos’s first bronze chess pieces to today’s workshop in Thebes, where every board is still cut, veneered and finished by hand. This piece comes to Canada exclusively through El Laguito Cigars.

THE DESIGN
A 45 × 32 cm serving tray in a walnut (or white) wooden frame, its base printed with one of fifteen designs — from an antique world map and Art Deco geometry to Moroccan tile, blue mosaic, spring flowers, coral and swimmers.

THE CRAFT
Frame and base made and finished by hand in Thebes; the design is printed on wood veneer and sealed so the tray can be used, not just displayed.
