Johnstons of Elgin has made cloth beside the River Lossie in Elgin since 1797, and is one of the few houses that still takes fibre from raw material to finished piece in its own Scottish mills. It holds Royal Warrants to His Majesty The King and to Her Majesty The Queen.

THE DESIGN
A soft check based on the brushed finish of Johnstons of Elgin’s most popular cashmere stole, finished with a fringed edge.

THE CRAFT
Woven in Scotland, then brushed by the house’s artisans with dried natural teasels to raise a gentle ripple across the surface — a hand feel made for a baby’s delicate skin.
