Johnstons of Elgin has made cloth beside the River Lossie in Elgin since 1797, and is one of the few houses that still takes fibre from raw material to finished piece in its own Scottish mills. It holds Royal Warrants to His Majesty The King and to Her Majesty The Queen.

THE DESIGN
Blocks of colour finished with a blanket-stitched edge: the wool keeps the colour blocks sharp and the edges firm, the cashmere softens the hand.

THE CRAFT
A deliberate blend — 66% wool, 34% cashmere — chosen for how the cloth drapes, wears and feels. Dyed, spun, woven and finished in the Johnstons of Elgin mills in Scotland.
