THE CRAFT

S.T. Dupont celebrates the ancestral Japanese art of Maki-e. Hand-decorated by the maison’s partner artisans of Wajimaya Zenni in Japan, each piece is adorned with gold powder, mother-of-pearl and black lacquer with golden finishes — and signed “Zenni.” Weeks of work; no two identical.

THE RITUAL

The Toryumon collection is inspired by the legend in which a carp transforms into a dragon — a symbol of success and personal growth. Adorned with a koi carp climbing the falls, each piece represents the path to accomplishment and becomes a talisman of determination.
