À propos de cette collection

Swedish diplomat Raoul Wallenberg is credited with saving an estimated 100,000 Jewish lives in Budapest during the Second World War, issuing protective Schutz Passes and sheltering thousands in safe houses flying the Swedish flag. Taken into Soviet custody in December 1944 and never seen again, he is honoured at Yad Vashem among the Righteous. This collection stands as a tribute to his life and ultimate sacrifice.

The cap bears a Schutz Pass featuring Wallenberg's likeness and signature in low relief, while the Star of David rises in high relief on the back of the crown. The clip traces a winding road, "dangerous and full of obstacles," with three doves in flight engraved at its base. The Swedish Triple Crown sits at the base of each barrel: one design repeats a Star of David motif inspired by the stained glass of Budapest's Dohány Synagogue, the other carries his signature and his famous vow, in Swedish, to do everything within human power to save as many lives as possible.

Each motif is rendered through finely layered high and low relief engraving.
