Every Geoffrey Parker piece is hand made to order in the company's Essex workshops. Lead time is approximately 8–12 weeks for production, plus about 1 week for shipping to Canada; waiting times lengthen before Christmas. Larger orders may arrive in more than one shipment.
THE DESIGN
Hand built to order in Geoffrey Parker's Essex workshops: a solid wood carcass bound in fine leather, with a hand-inlaid leather playing field that has no stitching to slow play. Gilt or chrome plated locks and handle plates, a hand-stitched solid leather carrying handle, and uncrushable leather dice cups with built-in trips to prevent unfair play. Gilt or chrome trim throughout, combining the modern with the traditional.
THE CRAFT
Since their introduction in 2005 Geoffrey Parker's Contemporary stones have become the stone of choice — inlaid leather set into gilt or chrome rims, fast, with a satisfying click (as used in the 2010 World Backgammon Championship final in Monaco). A matching giant inlaid leather and metal doubling cube is supplied on the Competition, Tournament and Challenge sizes (acrylic cube on Fireside and Compact Travel). Ball-cornered precision dice on sizes 89, 87 and 86.

Every piece is made to your specification from Geoffrey Parker's palette of 13 Dauphin leather colours (over 22,500 possible combinations of case, field and points). We will confirm your colour choices with you after your order is placed. Initials are embossed free of charge in gold or silver; additional embossings, company logos and custom designs are available at a small extra cost.
