David Oscarson - Green Wood Snake - Roller Ball Pen Liquid Coffee / Gold Vermeil

THE DESIGN

Celebrating 2025, the Year of the Wood Snake in the Chinese zodiac, also known as the Year of the Green Snake, a year of transformation, wisdom and renewal. Sculpted snakes coil around the cap, and the ancient Chinese symbol for Snake is inlaid in opaque black hard enamel on the top dome of the cap. The symbol for Wood, representing strength and renewal, repeats in high relief around the top of the cap and the bottom of the barrel, and the modern Chinese symbol for Wood is inlaid in opaque black hard enamel at the end of the barrel. This roller ball is finished in Liquid Coffee with gold vermeil accents over .925 sterling silver.

THE CRAFT

Hand-crafted from .925 sterling silver with multiple levels of diamond-cut guilloché engraving and a combination of translucent and opaque hard enamels. Each component is repeatedly kiln-fired and filed by hand, resulting in a stunning and enduring finish.

THE COLLECTION

The Green Wood Snake Collection continues David Oscarson's Chinese Zodiac series, following the Black Water Dragon and Black Water Snake. It is produced in five colour variations, each limited to just eight pieces, fountain pen and roller ball combined, making it one of the most exclusive David Oscarson releases.

THE WRITING

The roller ball version of the collection — the same sterling silver, guilloché and hard-enamel body as the fountain pen, with a capped roller ball section that takes a standard roller ball refill for an effortless, consistent line.
