THE FRAGRANCE

Lily is Floris’s balanced floral fragrance, both uplifting and warm, leaving a soft yet lingering trail. Inspired by the lily of the valley flower, the perfumer sought to preserve the bloom’s natural state: its dewy freshness is enhanced with a flourish of Egyptian jasmine and Bulgarian rose, sparkling white tea notes give a clean effect, and a reassuring woody, musky dry-down leaves a soft warmth on skin.

Floris has traded from 89 Jermyn Street, in London’s St James’s, since 1730, when Juan Famenias Floris and his wife Elizabeth opened their shop. Every Floris fragrance is still created in the perfumery at the back of that shop, and the house has held Royal Warrants since 1820.
