THE DESIGN
Nero Marquina is a deep black marble quarried in the Basque Country of northern Spain, prized since the early 20th century for the fine white veining that runs like lightning through its dark body — a favourite of Art Deco designers and a benchmark for bold interiors today.
THE FLAME
Inside sits a Vector KGM triple-flame torch insert: a butane burner that fires three angled jets into a single concentrated cone. It lights broad and even across the foot of a cigar, so a large ring gauge toasts uniformly rather than scorching at one edge, and the jet flame holds steady outdoors where a soft flame would not. A hinged cap lifts to fire the burner, a rotary adjuster sets the flame height, and the tank refills from the base with premium refined butane.
THE CRAFT
At 2.5 kg the marble body does the practical work: it stays planted on the table while you toast the foot of a cigar with both hands — exactly when a pocket lighter tends to slip. Each body is cut from a single block and polished by hand, so the veining is entirely its own. Handmade from natural materials: expect gentle variation in veining, grain and tone from the photograph.

CARE
Clean the marble with a soft, barely damp cloth only — acidic and limescale products etch polished stone permanently. Bleed the tank and refill with premium butane only, and allow the insert a moment to reach room temperature after filling before lighting.
