THE DESIGN

A limited edition for the Year of the Snake — a symbol of wisdom, mystery and transformation. The chest is built in precious Ziricote wood, dark and exotic with deep natural swirls, and the lid carries a stone bas-relief of a snake carved into a single piece of marble: every curve, scale and shadow is the result of hours of precision milling and hand finishing by Italian artisans. Each piece is individually numbered and ships with a certificate of authenticity.

THE CRAFT

Unlike the drawer-based Diamond collection, the Snake is built in the traditional chest format: a twin-hinged lid closing onto a machined seat. Lower it and you hear the soft exhale of air leaving the box — the sound every cigar smoker listens for, because it means the seal is tight and the interior is genuinely holding its own atmosphere. The depth of the chest is also what gives it its capacity: cigars are laid in stacked layers rather than a single row, so a box with a smaller footprint than a Diamond desk humidor holds considerably more. The interior is natural Okoumé, and humidity is held by a Boveda 320 g pack (not included), replaced when it begins to stiffen, typically every two to four months.

CARE

Keep the humidor below roughly 21 °C and out of direct sun — above about 24 °C tobacco beetle eggs can hatch inside a cigar. A soft, dry cloth is all the wood needs, with no polish and no solvents; wipe the marble lid with a soft, barely damp cloth only, never with acidic or limescale products. Handmade from natural materials: expect gentle variation in grain and tone from the photograph.
