THE FRAGRANCE

THE LEGEND

No.89 is named after 89 Jermyn Street, the Floris home since 1730. Ian Fleming, the creator of James Bond, made No.89 his signature scent and bought it at the Floris shop on Jermyn Street. Fleming also name-checked Floris in three of his Bond novels: Moonraker (1955), Diamonds Are Forever (1956) and Dr. No (1958).

THE HOUSE

Floris has traded from 89 Jermyn Street, in London’s St James’s, since 1730, when Juan Famenias Floris and his wife Elizabeth opened their shop. Every Floris fragrance is still created in the perfumery at the back of that shop, and the house has held Royal Warrants since 1820.
