Manopoulos has made games in Greece since 1970 — from Costas Manopoulos’s first bronze chess pieces to today’s workshop in Thebes, where every board is still cut, veneered and finished by hand. This piece comes to Canada exclusively through El Laguito Cigars.

The Manopoulos Genuine Leather Collection: a full-size case in Italian leather — crocodile, ostrich, snake or knitted texture — around an inlaid eco-leather playing field.

THE CRAFT
Made by hand in Thebes: the case is covered in fine Italian leather with natural markings, and the playing field is inlaid in German-made eco-leather using marquetry.
