Manopoulos has made games in Greece since 1970 — from Costas Manopoulos’s first bronze chess pieces to today’s workshop in Thebes, where every board is still cut, veneered and finished by hand. This piece comes to Canada exclusively through El Laguito Cigars.

A chessboard inlaid by hand in contrasting woods — walnut, olive wood with wenge, or walnut burl — in three sizes to suit your chessmen.

THE CRAFT
Inlaid by hand in the Manopoulos workshop using marquetry, then polished to bring out the grain.
