Inspired by Luke 12:27, “Consider the lilies, how they grow,” the Lily Collection marked David Oscarson’s tenth anniversary. It expresses gratitude for all that is virtuous, beautiful and pure, a reminder of what we hold precious and aspire to be.

The body of each pen is first cut down to the level of the background, leaving the outer and inner lines of the lilies, pads and leaves standing in high relief. The backgrounds are then kiln-fired in opaque black or white hard enamel. These were the first collection pieces to place three colours of hard enamel on a single surface without dividing lines, allowing the daylilies to graduate irregularly, just as each lily in nature differs from the next.
Each piece incorporates three levels of guilloché engraving and six colours of translucent and opaque hard enamel, including saffron, citrine, ruby and emerald, finished in gold vermeil.
The Collection — The 12th in the David Oscarson series of Limited Edition writing instruments. Produced in two colour variations, each limited to 88 pieces, fountain pen and roller ball combined.
