The La Sagrada Familia collection is a tribute to Antoni Gaudí and his contribution to the magnificent basilica in Barcelona. Gaudí took over its design in 1883 and transformed it radically; construction has continued for well over a century since, prompting his famous remark, "My client is not in a hurry."
Seven-sided geometric sunbursts evoke the instantly recognizable canopy that hangs above the basilica's altar, while encircled crosses mirror the ornamentation of its spiralling spires. Gaudí's signature wraps around the crown of the cap in high relief.
As with every David Oscarson collection piece, the design unites the expertise of guilloché engraving with the artistic mastery of hard enamel.
The Collection — The 25th in the David Oscarson series of Limited Edition writing instruments. Produced in two primary colour variations, each limited to 73 pieces, fountain pen and roller ball combined, one for each year of Gaudí's extraordinary life.
